Federal authorities have issued an alert to consumers regarding thousands of utility trolleys that are being recalled due to potential injuries they may inflict on consumers, Eyewitness News 3 reported on February 26.
Reports said over 270,000 multi-purpose hand trucks are being recalled by Cosco. According to the recall, the wheel hub of the aluminum hand trucks may break or fall off. Cosco reportedly was aware of at least four incidents in which a person was injured from using the hand truck. The hand trucks are also available at Lowes, Ace Hardware, Costco, and Home Depot online. Owners of the recalled trolleys are advised to coordinate with Cosco to receive a free repair.
