A 51-year-old’s semi-trailer became stuck on railroad tracks and was not able to move because there were vehicles in front and behind him.
The accident occurred at Nagle Crossing making it the sixth crash at this crossing since 2005. The man leaped from the driver’s seat of the car and managed to escape serious injury.
No other injuries were reported, but the train delayed traffic for over an hour. The man was ticketed for stopping on railroad tracks but he has said that he will fight the charges. The traffic signals at the intersection are operated by the Chicago Department of Transportation.
