An Illinois food manufacturing company, the Suter Company, has announced the recall of nearly 72,000 pounds of Bumble Bee chicken salad. The recall comes after costumers complained of hard plastic pieces in their food.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service, the company recalled the “Bumble Bee Chicken Salad with Crackers” and the “Bumble Bee Lunch on the Run Chicken Salad Complete Lunch Kit,” which were both produced between August 14 and August 28, 2010 and were distributed to retail stores nationwide. The product has a low health risk according to the USDA, but the company is asking customers to return the product.
