A male bicyclist was killed after he was struck by a vehicle near Quincy, Illinois, WGEM reported on June 21.
Authorities apprehended the vehicle driver, who they believe attempted to flee the scene of the accident.
The Illinois State Police identified the bicyclist as Michael Pulliam. Pulliam, 62, was riding his bike at about 4:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Spring Lake Road when he was struck by a vehicle. Authorities later arrested 21-year-old Colton Walker due to suspicion of his involvement in the crash. An unmanned vehicle apparently owned by Walker was found by authorities; they noted its damage and related it to the accident. Walker, who was charged in relation to the crash, was booked at Adams County Jail.
