A wrong-way collision involving three vehicles left one person dead and several others injured on I-290 near Des Plaines Ave., wgntv.com reported on January 11.
The crash reportedly occurred before 5:00 a.m. on Interstate 290, Illinois police said. A car driving the wrong way crashed into a van and SUV. The driver of the SUV said that the wrong way vehicle did not have their headlights on, so he failed to notice it. The people injured in the collision, including the wrong-way vehicle driver, were all transported to a nearby hospital. All of the identities of the people involved are currently being withheld. Authorities are still investigating the accident.
