Spring Valley authorities are pursuing a vehicle driver who left the scene of an accident after causing injury to a pedestrian, the News Tribune reported on May 4.
An on-duty officer reportedly discovered a seriously injured man just before 3:00 a.m. at the side of the road on Route 89. The pedestrian accident victim, only identified as a 26-year-old Spring Valley resident, was taken to a hospital in Peoria due to his serious condition. Initial investigations revealed that the victim was struck by a red Mitsubishi Lancer that may have substantial damage to the front passenger side. Authorities are asking the public to get in touch with them for additional information regarding the incident.
