A Wisconsin truck driver who has been terrorizing Interstate 74 since March was arrested in Urbana, Illinois on June 1. Kevin Lee Casey, 53, admitted to using a slingshot and metal ball bearings to shatter car windows as he drove his regular route.
Police had matched Casey to his truck using his license plate number, identified by video. They had been preparing to serve a search warrant when he was caught committing another vandalism by police and arrested.
Casey’s bond was set high at $2 million after Judge Robber Webber learned of his previous convictions for sexual assault of a child and domestic battery.
Casey will be formally charged with criminal damage to property, aggravated battery in a public place, and aggravated battery to a child.
