A woman involved in an accident with a police officer plead guilty to two different offenses and was sentenced to six months of condition discharge.
The incident occurred in January when the woman struck the rear-end of a cop car that caused his vehicle to hit another stopped squad car.
The collision was at the intersection of East University Avenue at 11 p.m. Both officers were taken to Carle Foundation Hospital in order to be treated for their minor injuries. The woman plead guilty to texting while driving and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. Her sentencing also includes her paying $1,000 in restitution.
